Intarsia
What is the deal with Intarsia. I thought I had it, I really did. I was knitting the above flame socks for my son , and I was so pleased with the result, but it just keeps coming out so tight. Why? If anyone at all reads this, please explain it to me.
I've had the same problem. Believe you need to be very loose carrying the color over the stitches on the inside. I have some intarsia socks (well, really just the first one) that needs to be frogged and started over, for the very same reason.
Believe you need to be very loose carrying your yarn on the inside. I have a sock myself that needs to be frogged and restarted because I can't get it on, it's so tight.
BTW, just looked at your Etsy site and your colors are just beautiful!
Okay, so honestly I thought I was being loose. But I will try again keeping that in mind. Thanks for the help.
It is a super bummer since they are for my son and he was really excited about them. I guess the flames are like speeding Nascars? I don't know but it is sweet and I never want to let him down.
I was until recently a stay-at-home mother of 3 beautiful kids. I am homeschooling and they are all smart and wonderful children. I love knitting and all related Fiber Arts. I would like to get my Fiber Art degree when my husband is graduated. My dream job would be to own a successful hand-dyed yarn company, and write knitting books.
This is a new blog about my adventures knitting, crocheting, spinning, dyeing, and carding. I also will talk about tv and parenting issues sometimes. Hope it is interesting. My yarn store is at Stitchnpretty's Etsy Store.
